Working together towards success for all
Welcome to Newlands Spring Primary School Website. Newlands Spring Primary School is a two-form entry primary school catering for children from 4 - 11 years old. At our school we 'work together for the success of all'.
Our website contains a wealth of useful information which will tell you about Newlands Spring and the way that our school community supports the education of our children.
Newlands Spring Primary School has excellent facilities and a friendly, caring and supportive ethos where our children are happy, engaged and focussed on their learning. Our creative curriculum and high expectations mean that children enjoy their learning whilst working to achieve their best. We focus on high standards of literacy and numeracy as well as the thorough learning taking place through the arts, science and technology, computer studies, P.E., R.E., history and geography. Our extensive range of extra-curricular activities offers opportunities for children to develop specific interests beyond the classroom and we provide 'wrap around care' at "Springers", our breakfast and after-school club.
We aim to develop our children both socially and academically to prepare them for the outside world through our core values. These are known as "The 6 C's" and promote a Calm, Courteous, Considerate, Caring, Co-operative and Conscientious attitude.
We foster a strong home-school partnership where parents, children, staff, governors and members of the wider community work together. We hope that our parents will be keen to become actively engaged in their child's learning and we welcome the involvement of our parents in school. In this way we work in partnership to ensure equal opportunities for all children.
There is always a slight feeling of sadness as our Year 6 children leave for secondary school but we are happy in the knowledge that they will take with them the benefits of a primary school education which will allow them to continue to thrive and flourish as a successful adult in this challenging but exciting world!
The website is designed to help you if you are considering Newlands Spring Primary School as a school for your child. We are always happy to meet you and show you our school. We are very proud of our learning community and the opportunities we provide for each child.
